We’re so glad to have the opportunity to have you in our little corner of the world here at the student ministries at Newnan First United Methodist. At UTH we strive to be a family where a student can come as they are, feel comfortable and find a place to call their church home. We believe in family. Each student’s home family is important, but their church family is important as well. Being a part of a church is being part of a community that is learning, growing and doing life together.
Stay connected and sign up for our monthly newsletter for UTH Ministry.

UTH STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM
2023-24
Student Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of students who dedicate themselves to serve their youth group both in front and behind the scenes. The team meets with Paul once a month to discuss the future programming and events alongside developing their own leadership skills. Applications below lay out the commitment and responsibilities of each member of SLT. Our hope is to have at least one member from each grade in Student Leadership to help Paul and the Shepherds (small group leaders) be most effective in ministry. Prayerfully consider participating in this servant role in our youth group.
Due date for these applications are the first regular UTH of the year: August 20. For any questions, email pmosley@newnanfumc.org to get in touch with Paul.
ABOUT US
Safe Sanctuary Training
Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes [a] child ... welcomes me" (Matthew 18:5). Children are our present and our future, our hope, our teachers, our inspiration. They are full participants in the life of the church and in the realm of God. God calls us to make our churches safe places, protecting children and other vulnerable persons from abuse. God calls us to create communities of faith where children and adults grow safe and strong. Safe Sanctuaries is our response to this church wide challenge.
