BAGS OF HOPE

ONGOING MISSION

The Bags of Hope mission project was started as a way to let patients undergoing chemotherapy  treatments know that we are praying for them and their families. Each bag contains special treats and essentials to brighten their day and a special note of encouragement from the Newnan FUMC.  We are sending 100 bags a month to the Cancer Treatment Center of America here in Newnan thanks to your help!  During this time of isolation this small gift of Hope is so important.  Please join the efforts of our missions committee by donating any of the following items to help fill these bags!

  • Small hand lotions

  • Small hand sanitizers or hand wipes

  • Chap sticks

  • Small boxes or travel size  Kleenexes

  • Small note pads

  • Pencils or pens

  • Word Searches or anything fun to pass the time

  • Hard individually wrapped candy

  • Suckers

  • Spearmint gum

  • Cereal bars

  • Small bags of pretzels, animal crackers, goldfish crackers, plain chips... nothing too spicy!

  • Water

There will be boxes set up in Parish Hall and Gathering Room (105). You can make a cash donation on line by going to newnanfumc.org/give and selecting Bags of Hope as your option for the memo. If you are in a bind and need someone to pick up items OR have additional questions contact Betsy Conoly at 770-301-6360.
